S1 Week 3: Tripping Over the Lunch Lady

Dear parents,

I hope this message finds you well! Please see below for an overview of what we worked on in class today, as well as the homework assigned.

Here is what we completed on Monday:

  • We briefly went over the homework from Friday
  • We also introduced the vocabulary #1-16

Here is what we completed on Tuesday:

  • We went over the unit test from Friday
  • We also introduced the vocabulary #17-30
  • We completed an RWN page
  • We also began our story
  • NOTE: We will be having our vocabulary quiz on Thursday, September 18.

Here is what we completed on Wednesday:

  • We completed two RWN pages
  • We also went over our writing task
  • NOTE: We will be having our vocabulary quiz on Thursday, September 18.

Here is what we completed on Thursday:

  • We took our vocabulary quiz today.
  • Went through and explained the story

Here is what we completed on Friday:

  • No leveled classes because of earthquake drill!

S1 Week 13: The Skunk Ladder

  Dear parents, I hope this message finds you well! Please see below for an overview of what we worked on in class today, as well as the homework assigned.  You will notice that I have assigned vocabulary for students to study at home. As we move forward and spend more class time on more challenging concepts, I hope to help students build independence by having them learn the vocabulary on their own. At the A2 level, I trust in their abilities, and many students have already shown that they can preview and study these words effectively. Please remind your child to pay attention to each word’s part of speech and ensure the definition makes sense to them. If they are unsure about any vocabulary word, they should bring their questions to class the following day so I can review it with them.
