We have extended the instructional period by one additional week to give students more time to engage with and better understand the texts we are studying. The stories in Grades 5 and 6 are longer and often require additional background knowledge to fully comprehend. By allowing more time for instruction and discussion, we aim to deepen students’ reading comprehension and overall understanding of the material.
