    Dear parents, Welcome back to school! I hope you and your families had a restful break and are excited to begin a new school year. Here are a few important notes to help us start the year smoothly: Beginning this semester, our story units will span three weeks. We have extended the instructional period by one additional week to give students more time to engage with and better understand the texts we are studying. The stories in Grades 5 and 6 are longer and often require additional background knowledge to fully comprehend. By allowing more time for instruction and discussion, we aim to deepen students’ reading comprehension and overall understanding of the material. We appreciate your continued support as we work to provide the best possible learning experience for your child. Thank you for your understanding and partnership. Vocabulary Quiz this Friday!
